Flying pigs and dancing babies,
Creepy crawly things,
Pictures posted on a journal,
makes my mind go ping.
I remember all those sayings,
and the music played.
Takes me back to other timelines,
those good old laughter days.

Hi Sandi,
I'm just responding to your kind interest. By the way, I HAVE written to the President about this subject. Sort of put my words where my mouth is you know. I received a very nice letter from some secretary thanking me. So, I was ignored. But I haven't given up. I figure that if enough people write to their government reps. sooner or later someone is going to notice. As to why the government people don't think of this, I think that it's because they are geared towards thinking of complex solutions.
This is simple. A simple issue of a Presidential Executive Order mandating the use of American made equipment and tools for Federal contracts.
And now to Bruce's comment. For one thing, he introduced some new issues that I did not propose. I did not propose any change in import tariffs. In fact my proposal sidesteps that problem. The mandate says only that any equipment or tools used in the commission of a Federal contract must be of American manufacture and of made of American steel. The Japanese and Koreans can still import their steel at the same import tariff.
My proposal does not have any effect upon an individual unless that person is working on a Federal contract and then they must purchase American made tools made of American steel. They can drive whatever they like. I have owned and favor mercedes myself. But I only purchase American made tools.
It's OUR tax money. WE should be the beneficiaries when OUR tax money is expended. Not foreign industry.
