Boy What A Month

Hello people, I'm having a horrible time with this computer again.

It stalls, it putters, it freezes it sucks.  Buttons disappear, mouse refuses to work at times....I really believe the mouse & the CPU have formed an alliance to drive me over the edge!  Maybe it's a built in downgrade by Dell...all this started just about the time I received a notice that my warranty was up...would you like to extend your warranty for $$$$$$????  Too much of a coincidence if you ask me!

But, given what's happened this past week in J-land my problem is totally minor.  I, like so many others here in J-land, were saddened to learn that Pamela had passed away on Easter Sunday.  She was a well respected member of this community of friends and will be sorely missed.

I was never a close friend of hers, having only interacted a few times with her on the boards.  However, I saw in her a strength that comes from within, a certain resolve to fight a good fight against the invader.  Her writing could make you laugh and then make you cry, she was a very unique individual and will not be forgotten.

I wrote this poem for Pam:

She could really make you sit
back and think.
Spoke her mind quick as a blink.

An elegant gentle soul she could
journal with the best.
Even though struggling on her
own health quest.

We reacted in sorrow at the news of
her terrible illness.
Close friends circled around her
providing support in the stillness.

She bared her soul, shared her awful
trials and tribulations.
Everyone wished with all their might
that chemo would be her salvation.

If all the good wishes wending their
way to her could make a wish come
true.
She would live to be one hundred,
a forever friend that would not
leave us blue.

The last she wrote was how much
she still had to do, how tired she was.
She still did not give up, valiant in
thought and cause.

Goodnight dear friend, blessed be.
