Journal Jar Question #54 Most Wonderful Moments

My list of most wonderful memories is quite long....maybe because I'm older or it could be that I've just learned to treasure some ordinary life experiences, to view them through rose colored glasses as they used to say...hey! That's fine with me.....my wonderful memories....

1) The births of my children...holding their small hands

2) Extreme joy watching the talent of my son Kenji grow

3) Joyful collecting....love my dolls...they still smell good

4) Little League Baseball....cheering my son on.....

5) Twin blessings unbeliveably blond...like their Grandma!!

6) Teenage crush Sal Mineo...definite moments in time

7) The first time I saw the view of earth from space was an awesome heavenly sight that still thrills my soul to this day...

8)  Grownup Kenji happy in his element - the sea

9) The youngest one "Boo" my memories are fresh of him as he just left the nest....

10) I threw Marilyn in just cause I could.  There was a moment in my younger days that I was told I resembled her...oh well who knew.

11) A most magical moment when a daughter gets married and looks like a fairy princess...all white & glistening with crystals & pearls...miles of lace and oh just a pretty face!  Love you Lee

12) A brother's joy shows in his face...look he's even smiling...not doing a prank!

13) Since I was adding photo's I just had to add Johnny..he's the bomb!

14) Last by not least think of the future.....imagine what can be........

Homework Assignment #60

Stepping back in time to the year 1977...oh what a year it was, it surely was.   My daughter Alisa was nine and my son Kenji was 11...both hooked on sci-fi...anxiously waiting to see "Star Wars".   Luckily they had a Mom who, in her own right, was a confirmed "Trekkie" so it was with willing heart that she agreed to take them into the city to see StarWars.

Hubby, the kids and I loved the movie.  My son at that time was starting to exhibit a great talent in drawing and painting.....I think he drew Darth Vader in so many situations that even his creator wouldn't of imagined him in.  Of course, he had to collect all the figures...the cases...I still have some of them.

Then along came Ebay...and some of them are now sold but it was a long run for these toys....

I also still have Star Trek too....I'm mad that they are taking it off....with no replacement...stupid people.

Oh...extra credit...I think the Ewoks are definitely EVIL
they are little, they appear mysteriously, they gibber and they have odd ways of trading.

Homework Assignment Mothers

Being new to the digital world I only have limited photos to choose from...but I love the one of my daughter with her twin girls and the one of rocking my first grandbaby.  She has turned into a wonderful woman and mother, impressing me with her skills every time I turn around. Happy Mom's Day Daughter...

The other photo is of my motherinlaw, who has since passed...she was a strong, gentle woman of immense inner strength who managed in a time of crisis to raise her son, keep her land and still held her head high.  My son is standing next to her in her wonderful garden which was filled with blooming azaelas, Cherry Blossom Trees and purple Irises....Happy Mothers Day Obachan.

I have lots more that I could write about but I haven't any on line photos to share...just great memories that I will never lose.
