Baby Sister Turns Fifty!

Well my baby sister turned fifty!  Although she barely looks a day over thirty.  She was blessed with one of those faces that capture a youthful glow and never let it go.  It also helps that she has a kind soul trusting more people than she should down through the years.

Barbi started working for a new company and is much more active now than she had been for more than a year, as a result she has lost a bit of excess weight....which only adds to the youthful appearance that she gives.

When she was applying for positions I told her that she should not mention her age at all, it is not required by law to put your date of birth down anywhere, so I told her.."honey as good as you look, let them guess how old you are".   Sure enough, I believe that worked for her.  Turning fifty is hard enough but also to start a new path in business is harder still.....but she will do well....

A journal friend sent me some information on the news story about finding additional body parts from 9/11.  So many people are angry and I can't blame them.  I realize that the site itself was huge, but come on...you had how many years to search?  If there are any more subterranean areas where bodies may have landed they need to be searched. NOW!

The new buildings have been stalled often in the past so to stop the construction for a couple of months to allow the experts to search is not a big deal.  It is a big deal to the families that their loved ones remains are treated with respect.

The mayor of New York tends to be a very large jerk and his comments sometimes remind me of Marie Anantonet regarding the lower classes.."Let them eat cake".  I believe he is so far removed from the common man as to not understand human feelings.

You can go on the New York web site and leave a message for the mayor...I hope he gets tremendous mail over this one.....

I heard about them finding body parts from 9/11 ~ I sincerly hope they continue the search to make sure there are none left on the site ~ and they are buried with the respect they so deserve ~

Happy Birthday to your sister.  Over here you have to state your age on job applications. Many people over 45 here cannot get jobs as they are considered too old.

I read about the body parts being found as well.  My own opinion is that the site should never have been rebuilt on. It should have been a wonderful green space where people could go to sit and remember or just be still.  After all, it is still a grave, there are still parts there.  Would the mayor like a huge building erected on the grave of a loved one of his?

Happy Birthday to the SIS! Looks 30 at 50? Can it really be just the best gene's around or you need to tie her down and find out her skin care secrets :o) Although, I have always thought kind souls, good people, show that in their face.
I had read about the 9/11 bodies being found recently. My jaw dropped in disbelief! How is that possible?? The Major needs to wake up, and now.
