Wow, Marilyn, years after her death keeps on being news. Albeit, kind of off-color news but nevertheless NEWS.
I heard this story today and almost rolled on the floor laughing. Why? Just the thought of Hoover watching this tape over and over as he tried to figure out "who" was the recipient of the lady's deep attention.
Good lord, and he was in charge of keeping this country on the right path? In reality, he was a double dealing, lying, pervert...probably made himself a copy to watch at home!
Growing up at a time when everyone admired and loved Marilyn - it's hard to see what really goes on behind closed doors. She could not of been in use of her faculties to allow herself to be filmed like that, she had to know that it could be used against her. So what the devil possessed her to do it?
The act itself is not the culprit. Many couples partake of such, but normally not for the camera.
She was so beautiful and exuded a very childlike persona at times...even the way she spoke it tugged at your heartstrings. I want to remember her singing "Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend", crying her eyes out in "Misfits"...making us laugh till we almost cried in so many other films. Even when she appeared in Madison Square Gardens, singing "Happy Birthday...Mr. President" to John Kennedy, wearing "that" dress...just beautiful.
Yes, even without the tell tale books and repeated tales down through the years I knew right at the start of it that Marilyn was involved with the President.
How did I know? My Mom had a best friend Maddy who was a night auditor for a motel which was located right by Idlewild Airport. Several times, the motel was used by Kennedy to meet Marilyn in an "out of the way" place. Whole lot of crap went on around the airport in those days. Of course, Maddy shared her hot news with her little click of friends...I used to tag along sometimes when they met for lunch...so I got filled in on the "scoop" at the tender age of 16...lol. I guess most people involved with this story are now passed and gone...
But that fifteen minute movie will last forever, it has probably been put on a DVD already! What do you think?

She is truly a legend, and her behind closed doors activities probably didn't hurt, though she was before my time I still thank she was taken way too soon.
